• Perform research in data visualization or visual analytics;
• Teach courses in data visualization or visual analytics;
• Acquire research funding from (inter-)national funding bodies or industry;
• Supervise student projects at Bachelor, Master, PDEng, and PhD level.

We are looking for candidates that add value to the Visualization Cluster and match the following profile, which will be evaluated according to the career stage of the candidate:

• Have a PhD in visualization or visual analytics;
• Ability to conduct high quality academic research;
• Interest and/or experience in teaching and supervision of students;
• Excellent mastering of the English language, good communication and leadership skills. Note that there is no Dutch language requirement;
• Be a team player and able to work in a dynamic, interdisciplinary context.

• A meaningful job in a dynamic and ambitious university with the possibility to present your work at international conferences;
• A one-year employment as PostDoc, with the perspective of entering a tenure development track;
