For the PhD position in this project, a candidate with a MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Applied Physics will be selected and hired as a doctoral student in the Electromechanics and Power Electronics Group  for a 4-year period. The candidate should have the following competences:

• Affinity and/or interest in power electronic converters with ultra-high precision and switching frequency, with practical experience in power electronic converters.
• Academic background in fundamentals of power conversion with strong analytical capabilities.
• Good programming skills in MATLAB, and well-versed in Simulink and (multi-physical) FEM programs.
• A team-player with excellent communication and cooperation skills in a multi-partner and multi-disciplinary project environment.
• You are creative and ambitious, hard-working and persistent.
• Ability to independently organize your work.
• Good scientific writing skills.
• Strong command of the English language (knowledge of the Dutch language is not required).

The candidate will closely cooperate with the other parties involved in this project. The CV must include a complete list of marks obtained during your whole university career.
