1) A MSc degree in mathematics with specialization in the area of theoretical probability or mathematical physics (completed or to be completed shortly)
2) Good communication skills both in written and spoken English
3) Good programming skills, especially experience with Python or C is a plus
4) Good teaching qualities
Fixed-term contract: 6 years.
TU Delft offers PhD-candidates a 6-year contract, with an official go/no go progress assessment after one year. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities, increasing from € 2395 per month in the first year to € 3061 in the fourth year.
After 4 years your salary will switch from scale P, step 3 to scale 10 (step 3 etc. ).Wage taxes and the normal social security contributions shall be withheld from your salary.
