You hold a PhD (or equivalent international degree) preferably in biomedical sciences with proven experience in a field such as biomedical data science, biomedical statistics or bioinformatics. Preferably you have teaching and research experience in at least one of the following core areas: research design and (data) analysis, biostatistics or data engineering, storage and retrieval. Furthermore you hold a record of authored publications or articles in preparation. You have the ability to be self-directed with broadly-defined limits on assignments. Also you have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Finally, skills in R programming languages (software development) and experience with data manipulation and machine learning libraries are required.
You will be employed on the basis of 36 hours per week. The duration of your employment on the project will be 18 months, with a possible extension of another 12 months. Your salary is based on your education and experience and is a maximum of € 4,615 gross per month for a full time position (scale 10 in the Collective Labour Agreement for University Hospitals).
