We are looking for a driven and committed candidate who can complement us on a personal as well as professional level. We would also like you to have:

• a PhD in Physics or a related field;
• experience as a Postdoc. Preferably you have gained experience at different institutions and in different countries or fields; 
• demonstrable experience in independently initiating and/or maintaining collaborations with other institutes or departments (considered an advantage);
• a vision on (future) research directions for your research area;
• experience in the acquisition of research funding and the supervision of research projects;
• a vision on teaching and your own contribution to teaching;
• the ability to speak and write English fluently.

• depending on your qualities, ambitions, and current position, we offer you a full-time position on a tenure track or placement in a permanent position (which could be preceded by an 18-month temporary contract);
• a full-time gross salary, depending on previous qualifications and work experience, that ranges between €4,821 and €5,943 per month (scale 11-12 according to the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities (cao));
• 8% holiday bonus and 8.3% end-of-year bonus;
• a pension scheme, partially paid parental leave, and flexible employment conditions based on the Collective Labour Agreement Dutch Universities.
