We are looking for a qualified veterinarian with:
• a practical mindset and an open and facilitating attitude
• the motivation to achieve the best for laboratory animals (rodents, birds, fish) and for research
• the ambition to play a powerful role in dialogue with other involved parties
• good spoken and written communication skills in Dutch (at least level B2 of the CEFR after one year) and English (level C1 of the CEFR)
• an affinity with teaching, to train students and researchers in regard to their role in animal experiments
• curiosity and energy to gain relevant, specialist knowledge in the areas of laboratory animal medicine and laboratory animal science.
Fixed-term contract: 12 months.
We offer you in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities:
• a salary based on qualifications and experience of between € 4,629 and € 5,943 (salary scale 12) gross per month for a full-time position
• an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus over the annual gross income
• an appointment initially offered for a period of one year. After a positive evaluation, the appointment may be converted into a permanent one. An appointment of less than 1.0 FTE may be discussed.
The position does not involve weekend or evening hours. Holiday leave must be scheduled in consultation with colleagues.
