The Role
What’s the role?
In 2019, Shell Trading & Supply Products and Operations in Northwest Europe joined their forces in an ambitious program named NextGen to fundamentally transform the operating model by digitizing the supply chains activities. NextGen has been initiated to stay competitive, ensure compliance, and integrate new energy products like Low Carbon Fuels and enable future products like hydrogen. The end goal is to drive customer centricity, by equipping our organization with digital solutions in such a way that we can run a competitive, connected, reliable and compliant supply chain from Manufacturing to Retail.
As a member of the NextGen leadership team, reporting to the Business Lead NextGen, the Chief Product Owner acts as the point of contact between the businesses, the customers, users, the stakeholders, and the Products teams and is accountable to build and maintain the program ecosystem roadmap while ensuring the value being delivered. It will require to stay in close connection with IT and other Digital projects within the organization to leverage cross-initiatives synergies in order to achieve the maximal impact at minimal cost.
Key responsibilities:

Combines customers and business needs into a vision that represents the overall direction and scope of NextGen digital ecosystem.

Build and maintain the program ecosystem roadmap and ensure maximal business impact with frequent engagement with Team leaders, Managers and Senior Leaders to revise value and maintain their support

Arbitrage on products direction and prioritization according to users’ needs and in line with the ecosystem overall benefits

Closely collaborate with other Digital initiatives within Shell and other Businesses (Retail, Manufacturing, Aviation, etc.) to integrate the NextGen roadmap into Downstream ambitions and leveraging synergies while minimizing cost

Closely collaborate with Digital Business Development for Buy or Build decisions

Closely collaborate with IT to ensure the delivery of the digital products in a scalable and sustainable way

Support change management and simplification work to facilitate adoption and ensure ecosystem success

Work to deploy these digital products and get them adopted beyond the Northwest Europe

Support the removal of impediment and help to build a clean data platform
What we need from you
-
Master’s degree or better in technical disciplines, science, engineering, or similar.

Knowledgeable on Supply Chain Integration & Optimization.

Awareness on Contract performance management.
-
Awareness on Oil Market Analysis for Supply.

Skillful on the following areas:

Managing Relationships, Stakeholders and influencing skills including coaching senior stakeholders, managing governance bodies, and creating executive-level communications.

Business cases, financial management, and strategic thinking.

Ability to collaborate with external partners with diverse interests and goals.

Supply Chain Operations.

Analytical & Systems.
